Thank you so much for your interest!
We are a team of undergraduate seniors. We started this initiative because we wanted to bring faculty and students together to enrich the campus experience for both professors and students.
Specifically for you as a professor, you can meet professors you are otherwise unlikely to meet because they are from vastly different disciplines. (How often does a physics professor talk to a historian?) Furthermore, you can meet a group of juniors and seniors representing a wide range of academic interests, cultural backgrounds, and professional ambitions.
Who will be at the dinner
3 Professors
Each dinner, we bring together three professors from different disciplines. Usually, this includes:
- A science/engineering professor
- A humanities/social science professor
- A business professor
5 Undergraduate Students
When professors are confirmed, we invite juniors and seniors to select dinners they want to join. Students who indicate interest are selected by lottery to ensure equal access to this opportunity.
How to get involved
By Invitation
Typically, we will reach out via email with an invitation to participate in an upcoming Franklin Dinner. Our invitation will include a list of dates you can choose from. For each date option, we will list tentative participants to give you full transparency.
By Self Nomination
We welcome and are grateful for any self nominations. Please indicate your interest by submitting this form (it takes 1 second). We will be in touch with you right away!
Administered by NSO Office and SNF Paideia Program
